Who should be honored as Startup of the Year and Investor of the Year? – Nominations for prestigious Aarhus award now open

It is now possible to nominate candidates for Startup of the Year and Investor of the Year, which are awarded at the annual awards ceremony at Aarhus Investor Summit – a central gathering point for investors, startups and players from the East Jutland ecosystem.

The INCUBA award was established in 2021 to celebrate those individuals and companies that stand out with strong results, a high level of ambition and a commitment that inspires others in the ecosystem. The award has grown into an important recognition in the local startup community and helps to highlight the good stories that drive innovation forward.

Anyone with insight into the Central Jutland startup community can nominate candidates in both categories. An independent jury with representatives from the ecosystem will then select three finalists in each category. The winners will be announced and honored at the final awards ceremony at Aarhus Investor Summit on October 9.

Previous winners set the bar high

In addition to the recognition, INCUBA award recipients receive a travel grant of DKK 35,000 to spend on networking and inspiration in an international innovation environment.

At the recent awards ceremony, cleantech startup Battman Energy was named Startup of the Year for their work with energy storage and sustainable infrastructure. Christian Vinther from Founderment received the Investor of the Year award for his role in spotting and scaling young startups in Aarhus and the surrounding area.

However, the awards are not only about results, but also about strengthening self-awareness in a growing ecosystem. As Jacob Mogensen, CEO at INCUBA, has previously stated:

“We want to give some attention to those who have gone the extra mile. It does something good for self-awareness – and it rubs off on the entire ecosystem.”
